February 2023: “A Witch On Your Chest” Award Wins and Several Projects In Development
Hello humble reader! I had an extremely busy first half of 2022…followed by a nice, mellow end to the year. Now in February 2023, things are starting to pick back up again in both my acting and filmmaking career. Here are the biggest developments I can share with you:
In October, I worked on the short horror film A Witch On Your Chest with frequent collaborator Andrew Froening. The indie film was partially based on true accounts of sleep paralysis and I played a legendary demon called the Night Hag. The film received several wins at the New Jersey Film Awards (January 2023 Edition), and I was awarded the prize for Best Special Effects Makeup! (I guess following YouTube makeup tutorials pays off!) The short is up and YouTube and recently surpassed 7K views. You can watch it below.
This month I booked a leading role in a thriller/action short film created by NJ filmmaker/actor Alex Alessi. I will be starring alongside Alessi in the film, titled The Break In. It follows a couple trying to escape their home while intruders enter in the middle of the night. Shooting begins later this month.
On the development side, I have currently been writing, producing, and doing some acting prep for various projects. They include two productions with Christopher Orangeo (Little Did She Know, When a Blind Man Cries), another short film directed by Andrew Froening, another appearance in Jay Palmieri’s Carve series, and of course, work on my own short film Strange Bedfellows. My little movie is currently picture locked and is nearing the end of post-production.
I spent the latter half of 2022 focusing on my comedy YouTube channel, which currently has over 1460 subscribers and is very close to reaching YouTube Partner Program requirements! If things continue to go at the rate they’re going, my channel will be monetized this month…before I turn 25 on March 1st! You can check out the latest video from my channel below.
Thanks so much for reading and watching. Hope to have more updates soon. :)
