Acting in “Twelfth Night” with the Atlantic City Theatre Company

After rehearsing throughout June and July, the Atlantic City Theatre Company has finally put its production of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night onto the Kennedy Plaza stage. We did our first two shows on Sunday, July 10th. This Sunday (July 17) we will be performing two more shows for the people of the Atlantic City boardwalk.

I play Viola in the show: a shipwrecked sibling who disguises herself as a boy in order to gain employment in a foreign land. While grieving over her supposedly dead brother, she also gains feelings for a duke and accidentally makes a countess fall in love with her. It’s the second time I’ve played Viola in Twelfth Night. The first time was 7 years ago, when I portrayed the role for Ocean County College’s production. I was 17 years old! It’s been awesome getting to revisit Viola as an adult.

Attending the Kennedy Plaza show is 100% free. Benches are available, although bringing your own chair is encouraged. There will be two shows: one at 2 pm and another at 6:30 pm.

Hope to see you all in Illyria. ;)
